We pick you up at your accommodation in Arad, and we drive for about 1 hour to Timisoara. On our trip there, we’ll talk about the history of Romania and about Romania today. Once in Timisoara, we start exploring the old part of the city. Our tour will follow the chronological line of history, from the Mongol invasion to the end of the Communist regime. The walking tour will last nearly 3 hours and will include stops at the castle, St. George Square, and the remnants of the Central Mosque, the Bastion, Unirii Square (the Catholic Dome, the Baroque Palace, the Serbian Orthodox Church and palace, Bruck House, and the Plague Monument), Liberty Square, and Victory Square (Opera House, the Orthodox Metropolitan Cathedral).
At the end of the tour, we can have a drink and chat. And of course, we drive you back and drop you off at your accommodation in Arad.
