The tour takes us through the different ages that Timișoara went over time. From Hungarian possession, going through the Turkish conquest, the Austrian reorganizing, and again Hungarian command… sort of, and finally since 1918, the Romanian rule. We’ll follow the dynamic of the fortress of Timisoara over the centuries, learning how its inhabitants lived their lives on one side or the other of the walls. The same show is colourful if we look at the buildings: baroque, eclectic, secession: both Hungarian and Viennese, some neo-Romanian and finally the Socialist style; yes, Timisoara has it all! Each with its charm and stories! And not to forget the Revolution that led to the fall of communism in Romania! 30 years ago on the streets of this city, people shouted: ”today in Timișoara, tomorrow all over the country”. And so it was! Everything started here!
